PCI completed, handover on the 13th

The PCI went on well and there were no major issues. The final inspection will be on the 13th of September in the morning and then followed by keys handover later that morning and its done.

In the meantime, we have started to get quotes for house and contents insurance and when we get the occupancy permit we will apply for the bins from the council. The council says it will take up to five days maximum to deliver the bins and so we have lots of time.

Here are some photos from PCI:

Telephone working, broadband organised

Today we had the telephone line installed and its working. This was a big breakthrough because when I first contacted Telstra about the phone line they said the phone would be available sometime towards the end of November,

However, that project was pushed forward to August and we will have access to a phone when we move in. Broadband and Foxtel have also been organised and they will start on the same day.

Here are some pictures of the water tank taken from the outside over the weekend:

New photos of the inside will be available after the PCI on Thursday.

Temp fence off, driveway completed

Over the past week the temporary fence and toilet have been taken away and the driveway has been completed.

The rain water tank has also been installed and now this leaves only the hot water tank and general cleaning.

PCI is still set for August 30 and I assume between now then there will be some touch ups here and there.

With the temporary fence gone, the house can now been seen clearly and here are the latest photos:

PCI booked

The Practical Completion Inspection(PCI) has been booked for the 30th of August. We are looking forward to that and hopefully it will go smoothly.

We don’t anticipate many issues, ours has been a smooth ride so far with great staff from Burbank helping along the way.

There are no photos this time, hopefully some photos after the weekend visit.

Alfresco ceiling painted

One of the last places to be painted is the alfresco ceiling and this has now been done.

It was hard to take photos of the carpet because of the glare coming back from the windows. There is no carpet on the side of the house(south) where there was no glare.

Here are some of the latest photos:

Carpet installed

I have just checked Burbank’s My Place and found that the carpet has been as completed. This means that the last thing inside the house been completed five months after starting and the remaining things will be on the outside. I will have some photos after the weekend visit but for now this is “My Place” extract:
